FCP announces 2011 T3 Summer Camp Dates
For the third year, the U-15, 16 and 17 FCP teams will be attending the T3 Residential Camp at Eastern University. This year the camp runs from July 14th-17th. The T3 staff will again functionally and tactically train the FCP teams in Dutch 4-2-3-1. Dutch system has been the backbone to the success of the FCP teams, and the players look forward to continuing learning system related training from some of the top college coaches in the region in Mark Wagner (Eastern University) and Dan Wagner (Franklin and Marshall).
Four FCP 91’s named to the Pennsylvania All-State High School soccer team
Jordan Baker, Ethan Compton, Dan Meuleners and Bradon Reichart were named to the Pennsylvania All-State soccer team. Baker was named as a forward, Compton and Reichart as midfielders and Meuleners was named as a back. Both Riechart and Meuleners made appearances in the PIAA state playoffs, with Riechart winning the PIAA single A championship. Baker led his team in scoring for the second consecutive year and Compton was a key member of last year’s team that went to the state final and controlled play in the central part of the midfield for his high school team this fall. Congratulations to the boys for being named to the All-State team.
Former FCP 87 Wins Third NCAA National Championship
Messiah College goalkeeper, Jared Clugston (FCP 87’s), was named defensive player of the 2009 NCAA Division III tournament. Clugston's efforts helped Messiah to its second consecutive Division III National Championship. It was Clugston's third championship in his four-year career. Clugston finishes his collegiate career with a 0.48 goals against average, 27 shutouts and an impressive 48-5-2 record as a starter. Jared is a criminal justice major at Messiah and hopes to join the FBI after he graduates this spring.
Reichart and 8 other FCP players lead Christopher Dock to a PIAA State High School Soccer Championship
Reichart (FCP 91’s) tallied 38 goals total including 15 during the PIAA playoffs to help lead Christopher Dock High School to its fourth PIAA high school state championship. Dock is coached by Matt Moyer who also coaches the FCP 90’s and won his third PIAA championship as head coach at Dock. 8 other FCP players helped Christopher Dock in its state championship season. Those players are Cody Caroff, Brooke Moyer, and Seth Reynolds from the FCP 93’s; Adam Moyer, Brett Firely, and Dave Brelsford from the FCP 92’s; and John Rajibi and Zach Medine from the FCP 91’s.
