David Carvalho

Head Coach
U18

FC Premier is excited to have David join the stafff. A former standout soccer player at Moorestown High School and Eastern University is now the assistant coach for Rutgers-Camden men's team. Carvalho served as an assistant coach with the Eastern University women's team in 2005-06 before spending the last three seasons as the head coach at Penn State-Brandywine. He helped lead Eastern's women to an 11-9 record in 2005 and a 13-6-1 mark in 2006 while building the cornerstone of a team that has advanced into the NCAA tournament in each of the past three seasons.

At Penn State-Brandywine, Carvalho took over a fledgling co-ed program and led the Nittany Lions to records of 6-8 and 4-10 in his last two seasons (2008, 2009). His last team included one Academic All-Conference student-athlete and a pair of First Team All-Conference players.

During his four-year playing career at Eastern (2001-04), Carvalho helped the Eagles post a 46-23-6 record, winning the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference title in 2003 and losing in the PAC semifinals in 2001, 2002 and 2004. Carvalho ranks fifth on the school's career list for points (74), sixth in assists (22) and seventh in goals (26).

Prior to an injury-riddled senior season, Carvalho earned First Team All-PAC honors as a sophomore in 2002 and as a junior in 2003. He scored nine goals and added seven assists during his sophomore season. The next year he was honored as a Third Team All-Mid-Atlantic Regional player.
